We're using NewsML as the intermediary repository
for news content. In
house writers publish articles to a database using
a homegrown CMS. Once
an issue is ready for publication, it is stored
in NewsML, where it is
cached for output through PHP.
Each article is stored
in it's own NewsML file, along with an array
of
it's relationships to other Money-Media news feeds.
Our target audience
has been investment management and corporate governance
officials for the
last ten years (although we switched over to NewsML
as a standard in late 2005). We have roughly 100,000
